Si-je Ivy started her WingTsun journey in 1996 in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Although she already had a 1st dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do, she sought a system oriented toward self defense and found WingTsun.

She has trained at the IWTA Headquarter's school on Nathan Road in Hong Kong, where she attained her Primary Technician Level in 2008 under the guidance of Grandmaster Leung Koon. While she has taken time off to raise a family, she has always returned to WingTsun.

In the spring of 2008, her family relocated to San Jose, where she now trains with Sifu Kuo and Sifu Hsiao. Si-je Ivy is one of only a handful of women in North America to have attained the Primary Technician Level, and the only one on the West Coast.
